Disney continues to provide the world plenty of visual ammunition for two of its key 2010 releases, the summer attraction 'Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time' and this December's 'Tron: Legacy.' Check out what the Mouse House is using to seduce the masses this week. Plus! A major WonderCon 2010 update. Guess who will be attending, too!

The advance campaign for Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" played a crucial role in its mega success. With Disney using the full power of the Internet to deliver the message, audiences couldn't help but salivate in anticipation over the Johnny Depp-starrer. The result? A $116.1 million dollar opening weekend, bolstered further by higher demand (and costs) to see the 3D presentation.

Now, the studio is doubling its efforts for the upcoming tentpole features, "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" and "Tron: Legacy." Utilizing social networks like Facebook to spread the word, Disney has been unleashing new material by the week it seems. The latest salvo for "Prince" is the final one-sheet poster featuring the trio of a buffed Jake Gyllenhaal and co-stars Ben Kingsley & Gemma Arterton, which opens nationwide on May 28.

Meanwhile, back at Flynn's Arcade, the sizzling teaser trailer for "Tron: Legacy" took the Internet by storm last week. Now, Disney continues to offer more of the same stylized artwork that gave the trailer a sleek cool factor. This week, check out this smashing image from the Tron game board.

With each week's delivery of fresh downloads, "Tron" is now enjoying an increased "must-see" factor this Christmas. The film starring Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde and recent Oscar winner Jeff Bridges opens on December 17.

Given the recent cost cutting measures implemented by most of the studio majors, it boggles the mind to know exactly how much risk addiction has to do with the expensive campaigns being mounted for "Alice," "Prince" and "Tron?" Will Disney be charmed three times in 2010? Stay tuned.

Meanwhile, Disney has also tapped key cast members and filmmakers from three of its upcoming films to take part in WonderCon 2010, one of the industry’s most popular comics and pop culture conventions, April 2-4, 2010, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. This year's presentations are:

“PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME” — Jake Gyllenhaal (the film’s Prince Dastan), Jordan Mechner (executive producer and creator of the video game that inspired the film), director Mike Newell and producer Jerry Bruckheimer share insights about and footage from this epic action adventure set in the mythical lands of Persia. “THE SORCERER’S APPRENTICE” — Nicolas Cage, Jay Baruchel, Teresa Palmer, director Jon Turteltaub and producer Jerry Bruckheimer discuss this summer’s most magical adventure that stars Cage as the sorcerer and Baruchel as his reluctant apprentice—all in modern-day Manhattan. Fox trades dates for "Wall Street 2" into Fall 2010

Fox hedges its bets by moving Oliver Stone's "Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps" from its original April release to a prime spot this Fall.

If it worked for Paramount and "Shutter Island," why not for Fox and its "Wall Street 2?"

The studio just announced its has pulled the Oliver Stone-directed sequel starring Michael Douglas and Shia LaBeouf from its April 23 date to September 24. Given the high profile status of the project, such a move has a tendency to raise a few eyebrows. Yet, with the film's prime new dating spot in that late September weekend, chances are the studio may want to maximize its awards chances by being part of such Fall events as the Toronto Film Festival and other means of campaigning.

Directed by Stone and written by Allen Loeb, "Wall Street 2" also stars Josh Brolin, Frank Langella, Susan Sarandon and recent Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan.

Michael Ausiello's Entertainment Weekly column, "The Ausiello Files," posted some big "Glee" news that is making the Internet sing out in wonder.

The Obamas have invited McKinley High's finest to perform at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday, April 5. And, yes, they're going to do it!

Ausiello reports that Michelle Obama and her daughters are confirmed Gleeks, which prompted the invitation to the cast. The show's producers move mountains to make sure the ensemble could travel to Washington, D.C.

"Glee" returns to Fox on April 13, airing Tuesday evenings at 9/8c.

The Road to Oscar: A John Hughes tribute is set for this year's show...but no Best Original Song numbers?

A few Oscar broadcast spoilers have been making the rounds around the industry. First, the good.

Last year's death of filmmaker John Hughes caught both Hollywood and fans by surprise. Given the impact of Hughes' canon of films had on several generations, it is only fitting that this year's Oscar show will include a tribute to the late director-writer-producer. (It goes without mention that this year's hosts, Steve Martin & Alec Baldwin, have their own Hughes connection. Martin was in the hit "Planes, Trains & Automobiles." Baldwin was featured in "She's Having a Baby" with Kevin Bacon.)

And now, the bad.

Word is the Oscar telecast executive producers Adam Shankman and Bill Mechanic may have decided NOT to invite this year's artists nominated for Best Original Song to perform their songs during the show. Instead, each of the five nominated songs will be presented with a montage set to the music to give each song a specific context. Of course, several artists and filmmakers are not thrilled by the decision. Truth be told, this element of the show has always been a bit of trainwreck, eating up precious time and often perplexing the global audience. Still, with final decisions pending and all involved having signed confidentiality agreements, it is wise to just expect the unexpected at this year's show.

Lastly, more good.

'Twilight Saga' Update: 'Breaking Dawn' will be split into two films

A major "Twilight" update that is certain to double the pleasure of the saga's fans around the world.

Rumors that Summit Entertainment was heavily contemplating splitting up "Breaking Dawn" into two movies are true. After the massive global success of "New Moon," the studio has defied conventional wisdom and decided to go ahead with the plan. Given the box office totals of the last "Twilight" opus, Summit is definitely feeling rather lucky at the table.

"Breaking Dawn" is the longest tome in the Stephenie Meyer-penned saga. Despite its young adult and teen allure, the book is the most provocative in the series, featuring scenes of birth, murder, death and other variations of the vampire myth.

Expect the films to be shot back-to-back to back in what is a wise cost-cutting move to produce the epic. A director has yet to be announced, but the holy trinity of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will all be back. Meanwhile, the next "Twilight" epic, "Eclipse," is set for release this summer on June 30.

New 'Spider-Man' reboot gets the 3D treatment

Sony announces a release date for the Marc Webb-helmed "Spider-Man" reboot. But the bigger news is that the famed web slinger will be comin' at ya in 3D!

The film blogosphere is buzzing over news that "Spider-Man" will swing into theaters worldwide in 3D beginning July 3, 2012, it was announced today by Jeff Blake, Chairman of Sony Pictures Worldwide Marketing & Distribution. The new film which is still untitled, will begin production later this year directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt. Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin will produce the film from Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios.

Commenting on the announcement, Blake said, “Spider-Man is the ultimate summer movie-going experience, and we’re thrilled the filmmakers are presenting the next installment in 3D. Spider-Man is one of the most popular characters in the world, and we know audiences are eager and excited to discover Marc’s fantastic vision for Peter Parker and the franchise.”

FASHION DEFCON 1...Juliette Lewis Whips It!

I have to say, I am glad to broaden the spectrum of the DEFCON to include someone I truly have a crush on: Juliette Lewis.

This gal knows no boundaries as an actor, which is why I urge you all to check out her stellar performance as "Iron Maven" in the roller derby epic "Whip It," starring Ellen Page and directed by Drew Barrymore. Juliette, girl, we need to see you on screen some more!

But I digress...

It pleases me to no end that I can offer some pics that don't feature Lady Ga Ga wearing some afterbirth or another form of performance art mess to gain attention. This time, behold La India Juliette going full tilt, captured on stage with her band, The Licks.

FASHION DEFCON 1....Gaga Redux and Fergie

I'm still reeling from tragic loss of Jessica Simpson's beloved chien Daisy. Seriously. Am I the only one who thinks she's the Elizabeth Taylor of our time? One more tragedy and we're going to see her running down the street in a baby doll nightie and Gucci cha's, holding two Sharpies in her hands, writing obscenities on walls and screaming.

Then, I witnessed this pic of Lady Ga-Squared and I was pulled back into reality with a simple "WTF?"

And that isn't all that is raising the Celebrity Fashion Level to "extreme."

Check out what Stacy "The Dutchess" Ferguson is calling a dress these days. One false move and you will see two booms and a pow for sure!

Now, I'm going to see if I can find Ms. Simpson and give her a hug.

I love fashion. I love people with style. I love people who risk it all for the perfect look. But what in tarnation did the world do to deserve these eye-stabbing moments of outrageous misfortune.

Behold the hemorrhage that has Eminem looking rather concerned for the well being of Lady G (pictured left). Seriously, you can almost hear him say, "I will give you a few pints of my own blood if you just stop with this nonsense once and for all!"

Then, my girl Drew B. whips out this psychological test of a gown at this year's Toronto Film Fest premiere of her new film, "Whip It." Someone needs to tell her that grey garden is fallow. I know it is au courant to go bat shit for a photo to be seen 'round the world. But, if these stars sink any lower, their going to get vertigo at the bottom of the crazy barrel.

I CONFESS...I WANT TO BE PART OF GENERATION FAME

When Alan Parker's "Fame" hit screens in 1980 it became an instant touchstone for a generation that didn't need reality TV to fuel its ambitions. It tapped into every aspect of youth angst with such authenticity, it continues to resonate today.

With an iconic -- and Oscar-winning -- title song and score, you only need to hear a few notes and you're transported to the age of 13. I played that piece of vinyl until it played no more.

I read the novelization until the pages fell apart because my mom, diligent censor that she was, yanked us out of seeing it during its original run because of its profanity.

Now, in this era of "everything old is new again," "Fame" is being rebooted for a new generation. Here's the latest trailer:

If anything, this 21st century "Fame" feels less like "High School Musical" and more in keeping with what made the original film so galvanizing: that talent does matter as long as you are willing to pay the price to realize a dream. Will this "Generation Fame" live up to its predecessor?

Find out this Fall as the film is released by MGM on September 25th.

I CONFESS...IF BRADLEY AND JANE CAN'T MAKE IT, WHO CAN?

Just when you thought this week's session in The Courtroom of Human Emotions was closed for the weekend, this item appeared as an exclusive on People.com:

Actor Bradley Whitford and wife Jane Kaczmarek filed divorce papers Friday in Los Angeles, PEOPLE has confirmed.

'He hopes the media will respect their wish for privacy as they focus on their children,' says a rep for Whitford.

The former West Wing star and Malcolm in the Middle mom were married in August 1992, and have three children.'

Oooof.

Now, I've had the privilege of interviewing both Whitford and Kaczmarek and one thing always seemed certain. They really dug each other and their marriage. In fact, has far as Hollywood unions go, they were rarely ever in the tabs doing anything other than being supportive of each other's careers while presenting a positive family image. I hope the other chancla is not waiting in the wings.

I CONFESS...PATRICK WILSON "FILL IN THE BLANK"

I don't know, I still have visions of Patrick Wilson making sure Kate Winslet's spin cycle is working in "Little Children." (If you don't know what I am talking about, rent the movie now. You'll see why she's never seen whiter whites, okay?")

I CONFESS...SPEIDI MUST BE KICKED OFF THE ISLAND. FOREVER.

I am not a violent person. I have mood swings that are epic, but I am a rational person when it matters. Then, I saw this on the "Today" show:

Never in my life have I wanted to hit two people so damn hard into next week.

Now, I've been guilty of calling the Pratts stupid wastes of space, but they are about send the tabloid culture into overload today. Apparently it is war between cuddly Al Roker and the "They're What's Wrong with the World Today" Pratts.

Us magazine is reporting that Roker went on Twitter to state: "Heidi and Spencer are an interesting couple. famous for...being infamous," he Tweeted. "Bad and vacuous behavior. I think we're at minute 11 of their 15."

Spencer Pratt already had a salvo on hold for Ryan Seacrest's morning radio show on KIIS-FM.

"Was the weatherman asking us questions? I thought we were getting interviewed by a guy named Matt Lauer," Pratt said. "We were thrown off that the weatherman was even trying to talk to Speidi."

Amazing how the Pratts now see themselves as a brand, which is shrewd because it cuts to the cheese factor so much sooner. Call it gall. Call it arrogance. But this couple is plucking major nerves and sustaining their delusion of celebrity to great success.

But how far can they go? Only Disney Villains get to have a long life because they are just flawed creatures with great dialogue. This duo's penchant for double-speak will be studied for years to come, but eventually, exchanges like this are going to get really trite and tired.

"I was shocked at how rude he was," the female half of Speidi blabbed to Seacrest. "I was crying afterwards because I felt personally attacked because he was yelling and saying, 'Do you feel proud of this?'"

Mrs. Pratt added, "I felt like saying, 'Do you feel proud of what you're saying [to us]?' I'm a young woman and you're coming at me so mean-spirited."

Wait. There is more. Heidi twisted the situation further by doing the "We Were Innocent" bit, a role she now plays to perfection:

"We were going there for a great interview. I just wanted to talk about the show and my experience there and how fun it was," she said. "He just made it uncomfortable and an awful experience. To be honest, I wouldn't be interviewed by him again. And I'd advise women to be careful around him because I feel like he definitely attacked me and I didn't deserve that at all."

Sweetie, you are wrong. And, shame on you for projecting such disrespect and hatred on a man like Roker.

I am not alone in thinking they both need a backhander and deportation papers off the planet. I mean, where is the backlash, people? How much more do we have to endure of this? I feel dirty even blogging about it today But, the circus remains in town for the media and this is just the beginning.

I sincerely hope the dark before the dawn will illuminate the fact this culture needs an enema stat.

I CONFESS...THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY AND OTHER INDOOR SPORTS

Just when I was about to explode over Sarah Palin's inability to have a sense of humor, I realized that she's really now eligible for an intervention. Does everything require a full blitz against those who really don't take anything she has to say so seriously? Is the whole world really out to get her and the rest of the Palin clan? I think not and her latest wail into the wind solidifies her mania for the limelight. She's worse than Kate Gosselin! Taking on Letterman in a pissing contest over lame jokes is not dignified. Case in point, her awkward exchange with Matt Lauer on this morning's Today show which made a lot of people cringe.

WHEN FASHION FAILS -- Weekend Edition

All this jawboning on La Palin makes me want to reach for a tall, chilled glass of Dew and some pork rinds. Instead, I offer three spanking new examples of When Fashion Fails to clear our heads on such pressing matters as chaotic Iranian elections, swine flu pandemics, a dethroned Ms. California, radioactive wasps, rising costs at the pump, Glambert vs. Gayken and that asshole racist shooting up museums in D.C.

Instead, let's hang with Katy Perry, who kissed a thrift store, likes it and goes to Earl Scheib for her make-up just to walk out on a weekday night.

Of course, no edition of When Fashion Fails would be complete without another "cutting edge" look from Lady GaGa, who shows you what happens when you spend too much time at Jo-Ann's Fabrics in Glendale.

And finally, here are the late, great Hilton sisters, Paris and Nicky, desperately trying to give the paps anything in a bid to remain relevant. It is amazing how adept those girls are at making their own clothes during these days of economic strife. Now, if only they would just stay home.

The former Bella Mafia slash Queen Bee divine was the epitome of a free-wheeling sexuality that gave the Gangsta swagger of her male rap counterparts a real run for its audacious money. Is it fair to say that she's become a tired caricature of herself? Regardless, there is no excuse to running around stage looking like she's baking sourdough bread in her lady garden.

And, here's this week's edition of Lazy Ass Stylists: Behold the frocks clinging for dear life on Heather Graham and Kristin Cavallari. While both women have slamming figures, what is the point of wearing a dress that leaves very little to the imagination? They are attention getting enough, but the Levolor meets Leger look looks like something that came off the sales rack at Whores 'R' Us. Even more, what is with only a day separating the appearances of both frocks on the red carpet? Sure, the recession is still with us, so I get the idea of saving money by spreading the dress around to get maximum mileage. I can't wait to see who is going to wear it next! I think it would look so hot on someone like Susan Boyle! Now that's talent!

I CONFESS..."NEW MOON" UNDERDONE HAMMY

Sure the "Twilight" books and growing film saga were created for girls who eat their feelings. Still, don't you think these legions of fans deserve something better than the colorless and underperformed pap that Summit Entertainment continues to construct to pay their overhead?

I will say this on their behalf, they know exactly how to harness the energy of today's youthquake culture to whip them into a frenzy with images of shirtless boys looking like A&F models and sweetly chaste kisses delivered by their crowning lord, Robert Pattinson.

And how realistic do the effects turning Taylor Lautner into a werewolf look to you? When will this era of Chinese food filmmaking end? Sure it is going to make millions upon millions, but doesn't it suck that it will leave you hungry for a real movie a few hours later?

And then we have Helena Bonham Carter, who can't seem to leave some of her interesting characters at home. What is it with people who have money and still have the need to walk out in their eatin' dress to prove they are just normal folks? My mom taught me to make an effort when I go to the super because you never know who you're going to run into. Normal folk don't have to fear the paparazzi, just the mouthy bitch who still lives in Pico Rivera and runs the phone tree for talking shit. On second thought, that is just as bad. But I digress -- it doesn't excuse looking like a "pordiosera" begging for "limosna."

I CONFESS...THE NEW AD FOR CHANEL NO. 5 IS TRES CHIC

The most famous fragrance in the world has been the scent of extraordinary women for decades, regardless of status. Women like Catherine Deneuve, Carole Bouquet and Marilyn Monroe, who said it was the only thing she wore to bed, have represented the fragrance in the past.

In 2004, Nicole Kidman and director Baz Luhrmann took the brand to a new height of luxury and sophistication.

Now, the face of Chanel is represented by French actress Audrey Tatou of "Amelie" fame, who just launched the 2009 campaign in a short helmed by its director, Jean-Pierre Jeunet. The film was released to world in different formats on May 5, to honor the No. 5 and the 88th anniversary of its debut.

Coco Chanel herself said, "A woman should wear fragrance wherever she expects to be kissed."
